Le World Series Of Poker 2013 si disputeranno dal 29 maggio al 15 luglio e i braccialetti in palio saranno 62. Il calendario è stato reso noto dal Caesars Interactive Entertainment. La 44esima edizione dei Campionati del Mondo si disputerà alla All-Suite Rio Hotel and Casino di Las Vegas. Il direttore delle WSOP, Jack Effel, ha rivolto un invito ai  giocatori: "Portate il vostro bankroll e venite a gustare il miglior momento della vostra vita".
 
A provarci saranno in tanti, probabilmente più dell'anno scorso o almeno questa è l'aspettativa degli organizzatori. Nonostante la crisi economica del mondo occidentale, nel 2012 le WSOP hanno fatto registrare numeri da record con quasi 75mila presenze e più di $ 222 milioni distribuiti. Vediamo quali sono i punti di maggiore interesse dello schedule 2013.
 
Partiamo con il Main Event: il torneo più ambito, quello che decreta il nuovo campione del mondo, andrà in scena dal 7 al 15 luglio con un buy-in di 10.000$. Ci saranno come sempre tre giorni iniziali (Day 1A, 1B e 1C). Il final table si disputerà il 4 e 5 novembre (l'anno scorso si giocò ad ottobre a causa delle elezioni presidenziali negli USA). I nove finalisti torneranno così ad essere i "november nine".
 
Registra una modifica rilevante il torneo femminile, ossia il Ladies Event: potranno partecipare anche gli uomini, ma il buy-in per loro sarà dieci volte superiore, passando dai 1.000 a 10.000$. Una scelta dettata dalla normativa del Nevada che non consente discriminazioni di sesso.
Il Big One For One Drop è stato sostituito da altri due eventi. Il torneo dal buyin impossibile (1milione di dollari) lascia infatti il posto al One Drop High Roller da 111.111$ di buy-in e al Little One For One Drop dal buy-in di 1.111$.

Tra le novità spicca il Millionaire Maker (Evento # 6 da 1.500$ con single re-entry) che garantisce ad un solo giocatore un milione di dollari, e il primo torneo Turbo nella storia delle WSOP (evento #34 con buy-in di 1.000$). Infine è stato inserito nel programma anche un evento Open Face Chinese Poker che però non prevede l'assegnazione di alcun braccialetto.
